GDFL Broadcast Match: Giant task at Victoria Park

Both Geelong West and Bannockburn will enter this Saturday’s broadcast match with unchanged line-ups from Round 1.

A dominant 29.13 (187) to 3.2 (20) win for Bannockburn over Corio will see the Tigers enter the clash on top of the table with a percentage of 935%.

Brent Jacques found six goals and Matt Tyquin found five when playing on reigning Corio senior best and fairest Todd Smith.

Tyquin has been named in the centre while the visitors have named Justin White (pictured) who collected three Whitley medal votes the last time these sides played.

While Bannockburn has won 18 of their past 19 games against the Giants, third year coach Andrew Clark hopes to buck the trend this weekend.

“Its a massive challenge for us, we’ve made sure that all of our players recovered well,” Clark said.

“Our aim in recent years was to be competitive against these sides however now our aim is to go out their and win.”
