GDFNL Invites Applications for 2026 Netball Panel Umpires
The Geelong & District Football Netball League (GDFNL) is now seeking applications from dedicated and enthusiastic umpires to join its 2026 Netball Panel Umpire Pool.
As one of Victoria’s leading regional competitions, the GDFNL prides itself on delivering high-quality netball across Geelong and surrounding regional venues. Panel Umpires play a critical role in maintaining the integrity, professionalism and standard of the League’s A and B Grade competitions.
The 2026 home and away season will run from Saturday April 11 to Saturday August 15, with the Finals Series scheduled from Saturday August 22 to Saturday September 12

Panel Umpires will be required to officiate both A Grade and B Grade matches throughout the season.
Updated game times for 2026 include:
- Two Court Venues: B Grade 12:45pm, A Grade 2:00pm
- One Court Venues: B Grade 1:30pm, A Grade 2:30pm

All Panel Umpires will receive $80 per match, with games conducted under Tactical Change – Rolling Substitutions

Umpires must also adhere to the League’s Netball Panel Umpire Policies and Handbook.
Appointments to the Panel will be made by the League Executive in consultation with the Netball Manager and Panel Umpire Coordinator

Selection will consider availability, badge level and experience, previous involvement with the League, current accreditations and Working With Children Check, and a willingness to support umpire development and representative team commitments.
