GDFNL juniors shine at Central West Championships
The GDFNL was represented by two junior representative sides at the Central West Association Championships today with wins across the board.
Popular 17&U representative coach Christina Blaskovic bounced back from an opening round defeat to scalp wins against Merri-bek, Northern Pride and Colac District. A strong 10-1 start then inspired a 15-5 win against Darebin in the final round.

Meanwhile the GDFNL 15&U side also impressed throughout the carnival, recording victories against Essendon District, Northern Pride, Wyndham and Macedon Ranges to cap off a strong day for the league.
"A big thank you to our 15&U coach Shayna Brown and team manager Coreena Tait, 17&U coach Christina Blaskovic and all the parents," GDFNL netball junior development officer Alisha Balins said.
Both sides will now prepare for this year's Interleague clash against Colac DFNL on Saturday, June 6 at Winchelsea.
The 15&U side will feature for the first time before the 17&U side aims to replicate last year's nail-biting 32-30 win.
