Raiders ready for home-court showdown
The GDFNL has finalised its open-aged netball squad ahead of Saturday's clash against the Colac & District Football Netball League at Winchelsea's Eastern Reserve.
Thomson coach Shannyn Leach will lead the side after an impressive season at the helm of the Tigers while Belmont Lions star Molly Gribble has been appointed captain after claiming a second straight Margaret Webb medal in 2025.
"Obviously it's a privilege to be captain of the GDFNL Interleague team," Gribble said.
"Any one of the girls could have done the role and I think everyone will be playing a captain's role to a degree."

The squad features several of the league's premier talents, including reigning Justine Radford medallist Ella Wasik, who is looking forward to linking up with experienced goaler Bree Caldwell.
"I'm excited to be in the goals with Bree," Wasik said.
"She is an amazing player and I can't wait to learn from her."

The representative team includes players from across the competition with Winchelsea's Meg Royal set to feature on her home courts and Belmont providing strong representation through Gribble, Wasik and Yianna Ross.
Leach said preparations had been positive and was eager to see the squad perform.
"I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone play on the weekend and I'm looking forward to seeing Angelique play as well," Leach said.
"I'm looking forward to getting the win."
The GDFNL will be aiming to continue its recent Interleague success when it hosts Colac & District on Saturday at Eastern Reserve.
